Laut der spanischen Regionalzeitung Crónica Balear ist am Samstag ein 19-jähriger deutscher Tourist am Strand von Muro im Norden von Mallorca verstorben.
Der junge Mann war im Meer schwimmen. Als er wieder an Land kam, erklärte er seiner Schwester, er fühle sich nicht wohl und sehe verschwommen, als er begann, Blut zu spucken. Umstehende alarmierten sofort die Rettungsschwimmer, deren Turm nur fünfzig Meter entfernt stand; als diese eintrafen, war er bereits zusammengebrochen und blutete stark aus dem Mund.
Es trafen binnen weniger Minuten ein Rettungswagen und ein Notarzt ein. Der Mann erlitt dennoch einen Herzstillstand. Die Rettungskräfte versuchten eine Stunde lang, ihn wiederzubeleben, aber um 19:50 Uhr konnten sie nur noch seinen Tod feststellen.
Der junge Deutsche litt unter einem angeborenen Herzfehler, der bereits einmal operiert wurde, und musste beständig Medikamente nehmen, habe aber, so die Aussage seiner Schwester, ein normales Leben führen können.
Die spanische Zeitung berichtet weiter, die Schwester habe die Rettungskräfte darüber informiert, dass er vor seiner Abreise aus Deutschland gegen Covid-19 geimpft wurde. Er habe sich danach unwohl gefühlt und den Arzt aufgesucht. Als dieser ihm erklärt habe, er sehe kein gesundheitliches Problem, habe er die zuvor geplante Reise angetreten.
Die Guardia Civil leitete eine Ermittlung ein, und es wird eine gerichtsmedizinische Untersuchung geben.
Die deutsche Nachrichtenagentur dpa berichtete am Sonntag über den Vorfall, verschwieg aber – vermutlich um das Vertrauen der Bevölkerung in die als wirksam und sicher dargestellten, bedingt zugelassenen Impfstoffe nicht zu untergraben – die Tatsache der Impfung. Daher wirken in ihrem Text die Ermittlungen durch die Guardia Civil überflüssig:
