Als in den vergangenen zwei Wochen vier praktizierende Ärzte im Großraum Toronto unerwartet starben, betonten ihre Krankenhäuser, dass ihr Tod nicht mit den Impfstoffen in Zusammenhang stehe. Ein fünfter Arzt aus der Region, gerade einmal 27 Jahre alt, starb am Donnerstag, nachdem er während eines Triathlons zusammengebrochen war.
Eine landesweite Umfrage von Zogby Strategies hat ergeben, dass 17 % der Erwachsenen, die mindestens zwei Dosen des COVID-19-Impfstoffs erhalten haben, angeben, dass bei ihnen innerhalb von Wochen bis Monaten nach der Impfung eine neue Erkrankung diagnostiziert wurde. Bei denjenigen, die mindestens eine Impfung erhalten hatten, lag der Anteil bei 15 %.
Die Befragten wurden auch gefragt, ob bei jemandem, den sie persönlich kennen, im gleichen Zeitraum eine neue Krankheit diagnostiziert wurde. Insgesamt bejahten 26 % der Befragten diese Frage, während 63 % der Befragten dies verneinten.
Bezeichnenderweise gaben 34 % der 18- bis 29-Jährigen an, jemanden zu kennen, bei dem die Diagnose gestellt wurde, ebenso wie 30 % der 30- bis 49-Jährigen, 21 % der 50- bis 64-Jährigen und 18 % der über 65-Jährigen.
